Joe Jacobus founded the company in Wilmington, NC with just one cabinetry brand. Their first three letters are MAR
1987
Another cabinetry brand, prefix KRAFT - gets added to the name Markraft is born
1995
Markraft continues to grow, opening a location in Myrtle Beach, SC
2006
After a decade of expansion, Markraft breaks ground in Nashville, TN with just one area account representative
2014
Markraft celebrates grand opening 15,000 sq ft Nashville Warehouse & Design Studio
2015
Celebrating 30 years in business, Markraft unveils a new 13,500 sq ft Wilmington Headquarters
2017
Markraft acquires Apex Cabinet Company, located in Apex, NC which expanded Markraft’s footprint in North Carolina with a 10,000 sq ft Apex Design Studio & Offices
2019
Markraft opens 10,000 sq ft Design Studio & Warehouse in Hilton Head, SC. Later in the year, Markraft is acquired by Artisan Design Group (ADG) which allows Markraft to expand into other markets
2022
With over 150 employees to date, Markraft proudly continues to hire local designers and craft workers throughout the Carolinas and Tennessee and relocated our Hilton Head, SC location to Pooler, GA for further opportunity to grow new construction and production builder partnerships
